Here's a holiday card made with products from different companies, which I like to do. With some masking, I was able to combine the stamps for the image I had in mind. The flowers are from Penny Black "Jubilance;" the container is from Art Impressions, and the bunny is from My Favorite Things "Hoppy Friends." The whole image is water colored. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I am placing this on the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes." Have a great weekend, everyone!
Welcome to my blog. Ten years ago I discovered that making cards was super fun. I keep learning as I watched many expert crafters and artists on the internet. Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking of You Today
A quick blog post today to share a card I made using a new stencil from Scrapbook.com with a Queen Ann Lace type flower. I just had to pair it with two stamps from Penny Black, "Dandee" and "Effulgence." These are similar flowers. I added some texture by using Brutus Monroe Copper embossing powder to match the color family of the Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink on the stencil. My sentiment is from Gina K Designs. I am entering this in Penny Black Saturday Challenge "Anything Goes" and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes."

Springtime Greetings
I broke out an old die cut from Memory Box because I wanted a flower spring for this card project. AND, I just bought the most beautiful pattern paper from Memory Box, Spring Plaid! I had used their Christmas Plaid for the holidays and both of these plaids give you a stripe of gold through the design, which I love. The die is called "Blushing Bouquet," and the sentiment is from "Springtime Fun" with a little Seedless Preserve Distress Ink blended on the edges. I used a gold gel pen to highlight the centers of the flowers and added a stip of gold card stock. This is for the Memory Box Challenge #69 Pretty PurplePurple and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes." The envelope was decorated with a stencil from My Favorite Things and Seedless Preserve.

Love & Hugs
Here is a Valentine's Card with a ton of texture - so it's perfect for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Add some Texture." I started with Concord & 9th "Scattered Hearts" turn-a-bout and used gold embossing powder on one of the "turns." I used a We R Memory Keepers 3 -D embossing folder with hearts for the top portion of the card panel. I don't have the heart dies labeled but I made them in gold and hot pink, added a strip of gold and a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp "Beautiful Flowers" to finish off the details. Also going to place this on the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Favorite Technique" because embossing is one of my favorite techniques!

You
I wanted to put this card on my blog because it turned out so nice and fits this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Add some Texture." I had seen Jennifer McGuire use this stencil and tried it myself. The stencil is SSS "Winter Floral Layering" set. After I used various colors of Distress Ink through the stencil, I added "Moonstone" texture paste from Nuvo on the flowers giving them dimension and shine! The bottom portion of this card panel, cut with a MFT die, was made with Brusho water color powders. The sentiment is from an older Catherine Pooler die cut.
AI Congratulations New Home
Love working with water color, especially with Art Impression stamps. The AI Current Challenge asks us to highlight a project we made last year. Here is a card I never posted. It was a request from a friend for a "NEW HOME" card. I used a lot of AT stamps for this little picture - see below. I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Favorite Technique" because water color is one of my favorites!

Thinking of You
I recently purchased the SSS Sunflower Petals die and wanted to try cutting it from paper which had been Distress Ink Smooshed. I added a bit of Vintage Photo around the edges of the petals and adhered it to another panel of Ink smooshed colors. I used Picket Fence paper glaze in Fern Green through a SSS stencil for added dimension. The sentiment is from Echo Park. Entering this card project in the SSS Monday Challenge "Add Texture."
Chillin' With My Peeps
Another quick blog post for my entry in the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #142 Watercoloring. This card's focal image is from "Newton's Peep" and the tree is from an older Lawn Fawn die. Yep, I decided to start my cards for Easter! This one is all water color.
Dreaming Always of You
Hello crafty friends! A quick blog post for a card using the Fun Floral Sidekick Frame from Poppy Stamps which I colored with Distress Inks. This die comes with a stencil making it easy to color one section at a time. The sentiments are from an old Simon Says Stamp "Talk Bubbles" set. I am entering this in the Poppy Stamps Challenge #77 - I love you and the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Add Some Texture."

With Deepest Sympathy
Thinking of You
I just bought three new stencils from Scrapbook.com. This card started with the "Dandelion" stencil, embossed with white to create a resist background. I applied Distress Ink in Squeezed lemonade and Fossilized Amber over the panel.
The flowers are from Altenew Build a Flower "Hyacinth" and the sentiment is from Ellen Hutson, embossed in black with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink blended on top to match the green of the flower stems (another resist!) Entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Resist It" and the Altenew February Challenge (see colors below.)

Hello You (AI)
Art Impression is one of my new favorite companies although it's been around for a long time. I am loving their water color stamps to create scenes and have been following Bonnie Krebs's videos for a while. I missed her recent video Whimsical Hobbit Door , but to my surprise I made a similar card just the other day. All of the stamps for this card project were new to me in 2020 and I had not used them prior to this card project. I am entering this card in the challenge this week is "Best of 2020!"
Stamp sets used include: 5125 Elves, 5056 Fairy Door, 4052 Flower Set,
4270 Foliage Set 2, 4868 Flower set 2. Sentiment from Avery Elle.
Sending Caring Thoughts
One more card for the Simon Says Stamp Monday "Resist It" Challenge. I used water color on the SSS "Beautiful Flowers" stamp after white embossing first. The background of the card has some areas of cursive writing from Just Rite "Script Background" Stamp. The sentiment from Hero Arts is white embossed on gray paper to match the gray ink and card panel. Sorry that this pic isn't super clear. Thanks for visiting my blog!
Happy Birthday
This card project is for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Resist It." I used an Impression Obsession Swirl Stamp with white embossing ink on the panel first. Then, I applied several colors of distress ink through the SSS "Radient Hearts" stencil which left the swirls showing though because of the"resist." I kept the rest of this card simple with a heart for the greeting and the name of my daughter in law from Memory Box letters.

Feel Better
A quick blog post for a new card project. This one, made for a friend of mine who is having some health difficulties, was inspired by the My Favorite Things Color Challenge #159. See colors below. I also used Resist technique so am posting on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Resist It."
I started with a Gina K. background stamp with white embossing and applied Grape ink on the whole panel. The sentiment is from Dare2B Artzy, leaf die from Clearly Besotted in gray, and a few purple flowers from Altenew. The Hemstitch Rectangle die was used to add more detail and dimension.

Feel Better
I have a water color card today using Penny Black's "Floral Twist" stamp. I love to watch Jill Foster videos for ideas on how to use the Penny Black flower red rubber stamps. For this card, Tombow water color markers were used to make the flowers different colors, dabbing a bit of water to create the full water color effect. I added a gold embossed strip to balance the gold embossed letters in "Feel Better." I am entering this card project in the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for February.

Happy Holidays
Getting started on my holiday 2021 cards... and why not! Here's a cute one using a new stamp I got recently from Newton's Nook, "Christmas Roundabout." I was inspired by Debbie Owens on the Inky Paws website! After stamping and coloring with copic markers, I cut the image with a heart die and mounted it on some light green paper then a doily. I stamped the pink card base with the same Roundabout stamp in versa mark just for a little design on the background. Even though I used NON-traditional colors for Christmas, I think this turned out just perfect! I am entering it in the Inky Paws Challenge #141.
Happy Dance
Hello! I decided to enter the My Favorite Things Challenges this week with one card for both the Color Challenge #159 and the Sketch Challenge #527. My card is made with "It's A Mice Time to Celebrate" and a sunbeam design. I added the heart to help highlight the little dancing mouse.

Be My Valentine
For the Valentine card below I started with the MFT Stitched Collage Frame. Whenever I want to put multiple images on my card front, I consider using this frame. The images are Essentials by Ellen "All In" bear and Gina K Designs "Layering Daisies." The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, a die which I cut apart to fit in the rectangle boxes. I kept this pretty monochromatic! I am going to enter the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Love, Hearts" and the Wednesday Challenge "Love is in the Air."

Hello Anemone
This card project is for the Altenew February Inspiration Challenge. The inspiration picture is below. You see it has a flower in the center of a bunch of leaves and the colors are dark green, pinkish purple, and yellow. My card uses Altenew big flower Anemone, some pattern paper, and the brushstroke Hello from Essentials by Ellen. I used Altenew inks on the Anemone and matching copic markers to color the little bud which is from a different Altenew set, an older peony one.
All Star Valentine
Today I have another Valentine card just in time to enter the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Love, Hearts" and the Wednesday Challenge "Love is in the Air." This one is for boys ... and since I have several grandsons, it's perfect for them! I used the Simon Says Stamp "Sports Planner" set for all of the balls, the "Allstar" stamp from TPC Studio, and the sentiment from Sunny Studio. I thought the black and white with a touch of pink was still good enough to be masculine.
Valentine's Day Heart
Here's another LOVE card just in time to enter the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Love, Hearts" and the Wednesday Challenge "Love is in the Air." This one was made with an old Her Arts kit which I loved because this big heart has little hearts which open up so you have dimension built in. Plus, the tiny word stamps for Valentine's Day are perfect! The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.
Sending Big Hugs
After a short break from the blog, I am back with a bunch of LOVE cards just in time to enter the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Love, Hearts" and the Wednesday Challenge "Love is in the Air." This first card was made with some patterned paper, a few different scallop dies, and a stamp set from Sunny Studio.
