Count Your Rainbows

I had this panel which I made with the rainbow turnabout from Concord and 9th, but never used. Then I remembered this adorable quote from a stamp set. It's perfect for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Add a Quote", and I'll add it to the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes."

Gnomies for Spring

I have a new card to share - it's my first small slimeline. I used my new My Favorite Things set "Hanging with my Gnomies" copic colored and die cut. I used some pattern paper from MFT, the tree/hill "Forest Border" from Lawn Fawn, and sentiments from Ellen Hutson. I also used an embossing folder from Paper Rose for the inside panel of the card. I am entering this card in the My Favorite Things April Simeline Challege. Also want to add it to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes."

Full of Surprises

I recently purchased the My Favorite Things "Hanging With My Gnomies" but hadn't had a chance to use it. So I finally stamped and colored some images ... well all of the images ... from the set.  But I am going to use some on this card and some on another card. My sister loves Gnomes, so one of the cards will be for her, but not this one! I used two sheets from the paper pack "Dots & Stripes Neutral" from MFT and the "Grassy Fields" die cut. I am entering this card in the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge. The sentiment is from a different MFT stamp set.

Crafty Smile

I needed a "crafty" card for a friend, so I turned to Gina K. "Basket" and "Basket Additions" for this great card project. Coloring was done with copic markers and I actually made the plaid paper to go with the colors in the focal image. Lastly, I added a ball of yarn from a MFT stamp/die and the sentiment from Impression Obsession. Since the sentiment is die cut word, I am entering this card in the Gina K. April Monthly Mix challenge.

Peek A Boo Birthday

I made a special card for my granddaughter using the Hero Arts "Wish Big Peek A Boo" stamp and die. It involved a lot of coloring and I even embossed a few images under the "doors" with gold and silver embossing powder, but I wanted it to be special for her 10th birthday! So I am entering it in the Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge #22. I forgot to take a pic of the inside of the card, but it was a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment!

Healing Hugs

Another card project with "Hugs" as the theme to enter the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. The background panel was stamped with a large rubber stamp from Impression Obsession, and then I added navy die cut leaves from Clearly Besotted which were heat embossed with Versamark ink just to give them a slick look. The sentiment is from Simon Say Stamp.

Get Well Soon Hugs

I have made a ton of get well cards lately and I also like to just use "hugs" as a sentiment. So here is another card for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, "Sending Hugs."  I am also entering this in the SSS MondayChallenge "Cheerful Colors."

Thinking of You Water Color

This card project is the result of taking a water color class with Sandy Allnock at www.artclasses.com.

So I thought I would add it to the SSSWednesday Challenge Clean and Simple.

Hello

This was an experiment with some texture paste and SSS "Tumbling Leaves" stencil. The inked background uses colors for the APRIL Altenew Challenge.  And I will place it on the SSS Monday Monday Challenge.

Healing Hugs

I made a quick card last night for a friend who has surgery last week and is having a slow recovery. I checked my stash and found a panel already stamped and inked; then I found some left over flowers from Altenew and tied it all together with a leaf branch and sentiment. So, lucky for me the final card fits nicely into the new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

Beginnings and Hope

Sending Rainbows - is the Poppy Stamp's Challenge for April. I was debating whether to use water color or Distress Oxides and decided on the latter. To this I added a large sentiment from Poppy Stamp's "Springtime Fun," with white embossing. It's a simple card which was fun to make.

Hello Spring

Here's a card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge "Cute." I used a cute image from the set "Plant Joy," water colored and set on a round die cut. The orange panel was created with Altenew's Cozy Flannel Cover Die which I dry embossed instead of cutting. I recently saw this done on a You Tube video and decided to give it a try - it really allows you to stretch the use of the cover dies you have! I found a stencil from Scrapbook.com for the envelope flap which matches the cover plate design really well. You can see the design in the enlarged photo. I am also placing this on the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge#537.

Old Friends are the Best Friends!

A quick post to show a card made with an Art Impression stamp "We're Here" which I recently purchased even though it's been around for a while. I love the smiling faces on these ladies as they "surprise" their friend with a visit. I used copic markers to color the image and some patterned paper to finish it off. This is for the Art Impression Challenge "Personality! I think it fits perfectly!

Happy Birthday Floral

I never posted this card, but now it fits into the Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge #22, Happy Birthday! I loved this kit when it came out last year, and I was inspired to color the flowers myself with Distress Inks after watching this Jennifer McGuire's video. The background panel is stamped with Petite Flourish from Gina K. The sentiment and banner are from Concord & 9th. The flowers and newspaper wrap are from the Hero Arts Jan 2020 kit. Also placing this Birthday Card on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Happy Birthday.

Paw Prints Never Fade

This week's My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 536 worked well for a card I needed to make for a friend. Losing a pet is always terrible; I hope this card is a little consolation. First I used MFT "Staggered Paw Prints" stencil for the background, layered a big heart on top with paw prints from MFT "Critter Condolences" and the dog die from "You are Pawsome" an older MFT set. The sentiment is also from "Critter Condolences." Also adding this to the SSS Monday Challenge "Layer It."

Happy Birthday Peonies

This birthday card turned out so sweet that I'm saving it for someone special! I had experimented with texture paste and glitter after ink blending through the "Diagonal Stripe" stencil from My Favorite Things. I paired the panel cut on the diagonal with some specialty paper which has a lattice design, white on white. The focal point has three Rose Peonies from Gina K Designs colored with copic markers and Nuvo drops for their centers. The scripty Happy Birthday is an older die from MFT. I am placing this on several challenges, SSS Monday "Layer It," SSS Wednesday "Happy Birthday," and Gina K "Monthly Mix April Challenge." (die cut sentiment)

Sunshine and Love

When I saw the new Fairy Tale Floral from Altenew, I just had to purchase it. You can buy the stencil to easily color this beautiful design, which is what I did here using Altenew inks. The sentiment is from an older Altenew set, "Canterbury Bells" and the background stencil is "Deco Wallpaper" from Altenew. This is a rare card for me = one layer with products from just one company! (OH, I take it back! The die for the panel is from Penny Black.) Adding this to the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge where I used the colors from the inspiration.

Another Year Full of Adventure

This week's Art Impression challenge is "Personality" and this card definitely depicts one of my personal traits = love spending time with my friends! So I want to enter it in the Challenge "personality." I colored the focal image with copic markers and die cut it with an oval die, double mounted on a light blue panel on with an embossed design from Cuttlebug. The inside of the card and the envelope were stamped with Hero Arts "Dot Moire" stamp. I also want to enter this in the Simon Says Stamp Challenges this week, Monday "Layer It"  and Wednesday "Happy Birthday."

Sweet Birthday

One always needs birthday cards. Here's one with Concord & 9th's Lovely Blossoms Turn-a-bout and flowers from Altenew. The sentiment is also from Concord & 9th. I used a doily from my stash and a gold embossed strip to match the gold embossed sentiment. Entering this in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Happy Birthday" and Monday Challenge "Layer It."

Beautiful Ballet

After watching Tim Holtz's "live" videos from the past few weeks, I was inspired to try some of his products which I consider more along the multi-media category. Here is a card using one of his "Paper Dolls" colored with a bit of Distress Crayon. I also used Distress Glaze in Fossilized Amber with texture paste and the Swirls Stencil from Hero Arts for more dimension. The panel started with Hero Arts Dot Moire stamp and gray ink on some blue card stock which also had a swirly design stamped on it. The sentiment is a new die from Simon Says Stamp. I think this card is just a riot. I love the girl's expression! This is for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Layer It."

Birthday Wishes

This card is for a very good friend and I know she will love it! It is similar to another one I did a while back using the same dies but switching up the colors.  The Poppy Stamp Oval Fold Frame and picket tall curve border form the basis for the card. The sentiment is from SSS; small flowers are from MFT Spring Wreath and the leafy sprig die is from Poppy Stamps. I am entering this card on both Simon Says Stamp Challenges,  Wednesday "Happy Birthday" and Monday "Layer It."

Filled With Joy

This Easter card features Newton with his peeps! To save a little time since I make a lot of Easter cards, I used a bit of patterned paper from my stash and matched the copic marker colors for the focal image. The Stitched Dome Stax die and the sentiment are from My Favorite Things. This card is for the Inky Paws Challenge 145 Friendship Theme and the two Simon Says Stamp challenges this week, Anything Goes and Easter - Spring.

Easter

Here is a short post for an Easter card using the Simon Says Stamp Eggstra Sweet Easter stamp set for the focal image, colored with copic markers, placed on some patterned paper came together quickly. This is for both SSS challenges this week, Anything Goes and Easter - Spring. The three chicks in a row are from Impression Obsession.

Have a Sweet Easter

One of the Easter cards I made this year features a "rainbow" of eggs using Poppy Stamps's "Decorated Sidekick Frame and Stencil" set. So, this is perfect for the PSC #79 Sending Rainbows. I am also entering it in both Simon Says Stamp Challenges this week - Easter - Spring and Anything Goes. The focal point is an Easter basket from Waffle Flower and the sentiment is from SSS "Eggstra Sweet Easter."
