Joy

Another Holiday card finished. I only made one of these, but I will be playing around with the JOY die cut from MFT "Filled with Joy" some more. I recently bought the Memory Box "Christmas Plaid" patterned paper, and when I saw this plaid, it matched a tree I had ink blended using a stencil from Trinity Stamps. I was inspired by the colors to create this card. In addition to the plaid paper, the JOY die cut, and the stencil image of the tree, I also used some red ribbon from my stash, a small Christmas Tag from Simon Says Stamp, red gems, and a white gel pen from Sakura. I am entering this card in the following challenges - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Christmas," SSS Monday Challenge "Happy Holidays," and the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #91 (middle column tree, ink blending, green.)

This inside sentiment and die cut trees are from Poppy Stamps.

Deck the Halls

Here's one of the holiday cards I made this weekend which makes me smile. It's Penny Black "Deck the Halls" cat image water colored hanging on a fir branch in the snow! The sentiment is from Sunny Studio "Holiday Style" and so is the branch I used on the envelope. The plaid paper is from Memory Box "Christmas Plaid" patterned paper pack. I used some oval dies to highlight the image. Entering this in the Penny Black November Saturday Challenge "Anything Goes", Tic Tac Toe Challenge #90 (plaid, snow, critter), Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Happy Holiday".

Peace on Earth Poinsettia

I created a few more holiday cards over the weekend. This one uses the colors for My Favorite Things Color Challenge #153. The poinsettia is from Gina K/SSS last year's collaboration. It's one of my favorite poinsettias. I colored it with Zig Real Brush Markers (water color,) shaded around it with Gold Delicata ink, shaded around the edges with Distress Ink Antique Linen, and added the sentiment. Also posting this on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Happy Holidays."

Happy Birthday Lily

I made this birthday card for a special 6 year old, Lily! The critters and the LILY letters are from My Favorite Things. The Happy Birthday is a Concord & 9th stamp and the balloons are from Sunny Studio.  I used some distress ink for the sky and grass along with stencils for each. This card project fits the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #90 - Critter, Sparkle, Include Neutral Color.

Thinking of You Always

A quick post for a Thinking of You card where I was experimenting with water color on a SSS large stamp after gold embossing the design. I am entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Thinking of You.

Thankful

I love to watch Jennifer McGuire's special techniques. The card below is the result of watching her video called Faux Monoprint from last June. I used Distress Ink of course, a Penny Black flower called "Efflugence," a My Favorite Thing Stencil called "Spring Flowers," a Thankful die from Simon Says Stamp, a SSS stamp for the inside of the card, and a special rectangle die for the framing. If you watch the video you will see that several panels are created with this technique, so I used one on the inside and the other on the front of the card. Entering this in the SSSWednesday Challenge "Thanks/Thanksgiving" and the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for November "Anything Goes."

Merry Everything

Two more Christmas cards - using Penny Black "Ornate" stamp set. The first card was embossed with gold embossing powder and then colored with water color and layered onto a panel with gold around the perimeter. The second card was colored with copic markers. The large bough branch is from Sunny Studio and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I am entering this first card in the Penny Black November Saturday Challenge using the Bingo Tic Tac Toe (see below) board across the middle row - lots of layers, Penny Black stamp, embossing.

Thankful of You

Another Thanksgiving card which turned out great. I love these dies from Poppy Stamp. I used oval fold frame, Adriana tall curve border, and the tall curve background. Distress inks and some solid card stock. Entering this in the Poppy Stamps Challenge November Challenge "Colors of Autumn" and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Thinking of You." This sentiment is from SSS.

Thinking of You

A quick entry - this card is for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Thinking of You!" I used Gina K "Wetlands" stamp set, Triangle Stencil from Mint Owl (not around anymore,) Sentiment from Technique Tuesday and Distress Inks. I love cards with black silhouettes.
