Autumn Wishes

This card was inspired by one I saw on Instragram by @achelgreig back in August. I just loved the idea so much, I wanted to try to re-create it. Although I did not watch her make this, her post mentioned a stencil from Backroom Door, so I assume she used that for either the lines or the squares.  I simply drew the lines and selected some water colors to make the squares. Then I found some silhouette stamps in my stash which represented fall. I think the sentiment is from a SSS set, but not positive. I mass made these for fall cards for friends and for Thanksgiving. I am entering this in the SSS Monday Challenge.

Happy Thanksgiving

I  made this card by rolling amber distress ink over an embossing folder from Darice and was thrilled with the results. I die cut it with a rectangular, scalloped-edge die and adhered it to a brown card panel. I added the die cut sentiment with some vellum behind it so it could be more easily read using the same dark brown card stock. Entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

Thinking of You

This large die from Concord & 9th was in my stash for a long time before I finally got around to using it. I selected some Distress ink sprays and completely covered a sheet of water color paper; then I cut out the Thinking of You and glued it to a black card base. I loved how this turned out and it was a fast card to complete! Entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Hello

Thinking of You Challenge. Trying my hand at water color, I used a background stamp from SSS (Floral Mix) for these two cards. Both were embossed first, one with black and one with white, prior to water coloring. Entering these in the Wed Challenge at SSS.

Sending Warmest Thoughts

Here's a Thinking of You card, one of the kind I like to keep in my stash for lots of purposes. I made it with a stamp and die set from Gina K Design and a frame from Altenew. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. Entering this is the "Simon Says Stamp Wed Challenge.

Strange Things

It's been a busy summer/fall, but not with cards! I keep crafting for sure, but have moved to different projects:  journals, home decor. This is a project I made, mostly with Tim Holtz Halloween products. The "Paper Dolls" have the heads of my grandchildren ... standing all around me. I just love it AND had so much fun building it. Entering this in the SSS Monday Challenge, "Home Decor."

Birthday Wishes

This birthday card was created for a special friend. I used a background stamp and fancy die for the layer, adding a die cut flower colored with copic markers and popped up for some dimension. This is for the SSS Monday Challenge "Birthdays!" The inside of the card continued the theme of purple flowers and fancy die cut around the perimeter.

Happy Birthday

Here's a card anyone would love to receive for their birthday. I used distress ink blending and a stencil for the back ground masking the middle for a silhouette stamped image. I created a matching envelope, too. Entering this in the Monday SSS Challenge.

Florals for any occasion

I used a technique from Jennifer McGuire to create this background. It takes a stencil dry embossed over a water color panel which has already been inks with colors of your choice. I die cut the focal point and added the same color around the outside to tie it together. It's a simple card for any occasion. Putting this on the SSS Create Your Own Background Challenge.

I Miss Your Face

The pandemic is not quite over, and when I saw this "mask" out of paper, I had to try it!! SO CUTE... and brightens your day. I created a happy background, too, with small rainbows. Entering this on the SSS Make Your Own Background Challenge.

You Make a Difference

One of my favorite stencil sets from SSS was used to create the background of this card, "You" adds some dimension along with the strip "make a difference." Placing this on the SSS Wednesday Challenge.

Happy Birthday

Made this background with individual stamp from MFT and then added a few on top with the sentiment for some dimension. Adding this to the SSS Wednesday Challenge.

Friend

Created this card with an older stamp set which I didn't use enough! Copic colored the images and embossed "friend" in the middle. This is for the Fabulous Floral Challenge from Simon Says Stamp and the Make Your Own Background Challenge.

Smile

Here's a bright summer card using a die cut daisy from SSS and plaid background paper I created. Entering this in the SSS Challenge  for Fabulous Florals.

Best Wishes

Another card with a very feminine look - for SSS Wednesday Challenge. These elements are from a Hero Arts kit which I loved and used over and over again. Jennifer McGuire showed how to color your white cardstock flower die cuts with shading so I used her technique.

Happy Mother's Day

Feminine is the challenge this week for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday. Most of my cards fit this description. Here's one I used for Mother's Day. Adding extra tulips on top of the already existing tulips makes for great dimension. This is an older Gina K. Design stamp and die.

Celebrate

A birthday card with blues and oranges which I used for a boy's birthday and now entering the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Masculine."
