This holiday card was inspired by a video by Gina of Gina K Designs about a year ago. She used zig real brush markers to color and shade this poinsettia after embossing with white. I just love how it turned out. This card is for Gina K Mix It Up Challenge for July and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Emboss IT.
Welcome to my blog. Ten years ago I discovered that making cards was super fun. I keep learning as I watched many expert crafters and artists on the internet. Thanks for stopping by.

Winter Wishes
I guess I am in a holiday mood because here's another card for Dec. 2021. This one uses a Gina K set which was part of the Stamptember collaboration with Simon Says Stamp over a year ago. The set is called FESTIVE FLOWER and it's one of my favorite stamps for a poinsettia! This one was colored with zig real brush markers and I added some shading around the flower and a music stamp in the background. Entering this in the Gina K July Challenge Christmas in July.
Merriest Wishes
Making more holiday cards ahead of time, this card project features Gina K Design's "Peace and Joy" cardinal, water colored, with a sentiment from Penny Black. Entering this in the Gina K. Monthly Mix Challenge "Christmas in July" and the SSS Wed Challenge "Anything Goes."
Holly Jolly Season
After coloring a bunch of birds from the MFT "Winter Songbirds" set, I made several cards for next year's holiday season. Here is the slimline one which I am entering in the MFT Slimline Challenge for June - "Things With Wings." I used a branch from a different set and added a few holly leaves, too. I am also adding it to the Simon Says Stamp Wed Challenge "Anything Goes."
