Welcome to my blog. Ten years ago I discovered that making cards was super fun. I keep learning as I watched many expert crafters and artists on the internet. Thanks for stopping by.

Baseball
A young boy's card... for birthday or any occasion ... once the inside is finished.
Sometimes the super cute images we love are just "too cute" for a boy!
So I reverted to stars and baseballs. Can't lose with those!
Check out the list of supplies under the picture.

Easy As Pie
Two Challenges to enter!!
Hello blog land! It was rainy all day, but I didn't care. I had an entire day to play in the craft room! One of the cards I finished today is for the Reverse Confetti Sketch Challenge for February. You can see the entries HERE.
The sketch looks like this - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - >>>
Thanks Reverse Confetti for the challenge!
Here is my version of the sketch. I used the Easy As Pie
stamp set and die; plus I added the banner at the top
from the Gift Card Die set. I used some pattern paper
which I had in my scraps drawer! Great way to
use up leftovers, right! I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes

Birthday Elephant
For this card I stamped images from Adorable Elephants and colored them with Copic Markers.
Using the Stitched Rounded Rectangle dies from MFT Die-Namics, I cut two pieces, one with the images and one slightly bigger out of purple card stock.
Both were mounted on a piece of the new MFT County Fair Plaid paper
with a piece of ribbon underneath and the Happy Birthday greeting down the left side.
Somebunny Hugs
This cute card was made with an older stamp set from My Favorite Things Somebunny - although it's new to me! I stamped the images and water colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. Then I cut out the scene using MFT Die-Namics Stitched Mini Scalloped Square Stax. I love this scalloped die which I just got a few days ago! To finish the card I used a piece of MFT Squeezed Chevon pattern paper, a piece of embossed white card stock and a bit of pink and white twine.
Bouquet
I created this card by stamping many small images on a piece of Neenah 8.5 x 11 white card stock. I used three stamp sets from Hero Arts - Holiday Pine Branches, Happy Day Flowers, and Let Love Grow. I love making my own bouquet of flowers this way. Then I cut the card stock into four pieces with plans to make four cards.
For the first one, I simply added a piece of ribbon across the front of the flowered panel, adhered the panel to a light blue card, and added a few flowers and leaf stems on top for added dimension.

Smile Shaker
Here's a shaker card I created for a teen's birthday!
My Favorite Things "SMILE" die was used in the middle of a panel
which I stamped with different small stamps from different companies.
I used Brutus Monroe Chalk Inks in Rouge, Oz, Aubergine, and Suede.
The butterfly is from Stampin' Up cut out of DCWV Glitzy Glitter Paper!
Aqua and purple sequins ar shaking around inside!

Happy Day
One quick card to put on the blog before we literally walk out the door for our vacation. I won't have much internet so "unplugged" it is!
I made this card for the current Hero Arts Fabulous Flowers Challenge
with two stamp sets from Hero Arts, some ink pads and some copic markers.

Now and Forever
Probably my last Valentine's card since I'm going on vacation in a few days
and won't be making cards until the last week of February.
Just trying to decide what coloring medium to take along.
Can't be 10 days without anything to color!!
This card's background was created after I watched Jennifer McGuire's video using stencils and shimmer spray. I had it in my drawer for a couple of weeks and realized last night that it would look fabulous against black - hence the black card base and die cuts from Simon Says Stamp. I used
a stamp from the Hero Arts Card Kit from January and a few sequins to finish the card.

Happy Day Hearts
Another quick Valentine's card using a Reverse Confetti Quick Card Panel.
I really love these when you need a card in a hurry. I used them for Christmas and again for Valentine's day. If you are thinking of trying them, my recommendation is YES, DO IT.
There are new ones coming out tomorrow!
For this card I also used Simon Says Stamp Heart Die and some colorful paper.

Glittery Birthday Wishes
Tonight I created a card for Jenn Shurkus's COOLEST CARD SERIES
with "Sparkle" and Snow as the theme.
By starting with DCWV Glitter paper,
which I put through a Tim Holtz Alterations Embossing Folder "Swirls,"
I was able to get a sparkly, swirling light aqua back ground.

and some white snow flakes added the snowy details
to surround the MFT Snowman which I colored with copic markers.
