Noel Night

Noel with Brusho Sky and a bunch of other products!!
Entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge / Winter Wonderland

First a piece of water colored paper was sprinkled with Black  Brusho,
sprayed with water, and allowed to dry.
The Simon Says Stamp Die "Soft Snowfall" was cut out
so that some green areas showed toward the bottom of the scene.
My camera doesn't do it justice. It's much prettier in real life!
I added another tree in the middle from Savvy Dies "winter tree"
and tucked it behind one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hill Borders.
The NOEL (cut from glitter card stock) and polar bear are from Stampin' UP.
The sentiment at the bottom is from Simon Says Stamp,
stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with silver embossing powder.

Kid's Ornaments

Some last minute ornaments for my grandchildren.... shhhh .... don't tell them! It's a surprise!
I made the circular ornaments on the left for each of the grandparents. The 14 month old's picture is on the front; the back has the year. They still need a hole and the ribbon. I made three of the ornaments on the right, one for each of the older grandchildren. Front and back shown. I'm happy with the way they turned out!

Cute Critters

I finally had some time to use the images I have been coloring! Oh, my! I ended up with a stack of different little items, like these deer (and penguins, mice, trees, etc,) which were collecting on my desk. I realized that I was running out of time to use them! Yikes. I didn't want that to happen. THEY ARE SO DARN CUTE!!! Love Lawn Fawn this holiday!
So at least here's one with the critters.

Cheers times two!

Almost done my holiday cards - two more simple ones completed. These use Simon Says Stamp BANDED TREE DIE and CHEERS die and popped up on the card base. Simple but high impact!

Simple & Shiny

Entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp DIE CRAZY CHALLENGE

This super shiny card was created using the Heidi Swapp Minc machine -
the striped paper was run through the machine to adhere the gold foil to the stripes.
The "NOEL" paper was run through the Minc machine two times,
once to adhere the gold foil and once more in the opposite direction for the red foil!
The two trees are from a Simon Says Stamp Die, SOFT SNOWFALL.
It's actually the left over part once you run it through your die cutting machine

Oh Snap card!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Lawn Fawn OH, SNAP stamp set!
Used it again on this card. This was water colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers
and the panel was popped up so the poor injured gingerbread man could have a dialogue window to show his disgruntled feelings! The Merry Christmas die is also from Lawn Fawn. Looking back I wish I had more of a contrast between the "Oh Snap" window and the light green background.... oh well. We're always learning!

Meowy Christmas!

Well, we had doggies, so now we have to have kitties!! Love this set from Penny Black which I stamped then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers on water color paper. I used a border die to add the faux stitching around the panel and adhered it to some color card stock. The sting of lights is a die from Memory Box which I colored and added to the card.

Happy Howlidays!

Another quick post today of a card from last week ... This puppy, gifty bone, and candy cane are from MINT OWL DESIGNS, a small new stamp company. I used a different stocking from the one in the set. No reason except I had already stamped and colored the stockings when I bought the MINT OWL set. I love the sentiment (also from that stamp set.)

Ho Ho Ho

Just a quick blog today. I made this card a few days ago. I love this stencil (on the left) and the little Santas stamped and colored on the right! I set them apart with a strip of gold glitter paper.

More Tags (Black, White, Red)

These are just a few of the tags I have been making for the holidays. The two larger tags were made using Reverse Confetti Holly Jolly Quick Card Panels. I added some patterned paper and some embellishments so they were pretty quick to make. The small tag in the middle was created using a stamp with cursive writing on it for the background, a poinsettia colored and cut out and the word Joy from a Stampin' Up die. The tag itself is a die from My Favorite Things.

Merry Christmas Collage Tree

This technique is so much fun! I used painter's tape on the card panel leaving a triangular area for stamping. Some of the stamps I used were: Lawn Fawn "Deck the Halls," Hero Arts "Holiday Petals and Leaves," Sunny Studio "Snow Kissed." I only used three colors: Hero Arts Red Royal, Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf, and My Favorite Things Kraft. The Merry Christmas is from My Favorite Things Die Namics "Pop Up Greetings." It is designed to allow the paper underneath to show through!

Noel with Brusho Night Sky

This card was created using a ton of different products! Well, maybe not a ton, but a WHOLE lot!

so that some green areas showed toward the bottom of the scene.

Merry Snowman

Entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp

This card is a combination of Lawn Fawn and My Favorite Things products. Love the colors!

Let It Snow

For this card, I was inspired by the ribbon - snow flakes in silver and aqua.
I used the Ma Ma Elephant Snow Cap Mountains die and Lawn Fawn Snow Flakes dies.
The sentiments is from Lawn Fawn, too.

Christmas Scene Cards - the process

Water color scene using Zig Clean Color

MFT Companion die with stitches

Final Card Project - I made 4 of these, two red and two green just
changing the sentiments and the shape of the snowflakes. I used the Marvy Snow Pen for the 3D effect and a lantern die. I love how
they turned out especially since I am just learning how to water color!

Two Snowmen Cards

These two snowman cards turned out so cute!
I just bought a new stamp from Tracy Mae's Mint Owl Designs
and played around with it yesterday. I used water color paper
and Zig Clean Color water color brushes.
I used a stamp set with the Merry Christmas banner from Stampin' Up
and a couple of die cut cardinals to hold up the banner.

On this second card I used Distress Inks for the night sky
and heat embossed with white for the stars & snowflakes (last step.)
I had to mask off the main image to stamp the other trees -
actually they are not stamped. Ha, I just remembered,
I created a stencil from a tree die and then sponged them with dark green distress ink.
I love the sentiment from Mint Owl Designs - SNOWMANY wishes!!!!
As a side note, I used a die to cut the panel with the image. Then, I used
my Scan n Cut to make another panel a bit bigger in white before adhering both to
my dark green card stock. This is a 5.5 by 5.5. card. White gel lines accent the shape.

Gift Card Tags

Had some fun today making gift card tags for the holidays! This is a die set from Reverse Confetti which makes the design so easy! I didn't put any gift cards in them yet, but you can see the spot where they go - near the top where the little embellishment is :)
